21st Century Skills

Hello All!! I hope everyone is happy and well!!

Gone are the days of chalk, erasers, and blackboards. The amazing students in the 21st Century society, which will refer to as Natives, are accustomed to a whole new world than our past generations were accustomed to.

Technology is an ever increasing phenomena that has taken off with an extreme force and momentum. Our schools are incorporating more and more devices and methods of learning through technological means. It's amazing that a lot of two and three year olds know more about operating a cell phone than our own parents or grandparents. You may be skeptical about all of this new wave of learning, but it is in imperative to well equip our students to be prepared for the future and the economy in which they will be employed. Technology is only going to be strengthened and will continue developing as the days, weeks, years go by.

Have you heard the term P21??

P21 is a national charitable organization that advocates for 21st century readiness for every student. P21 concedes that all learners are entitled to educational involvements in school and beyond, from early on until they enter the work force, in order to build knowledge and skills for success in a globally and digitally interrelated world. P21 represents more than 5 million associates from the world-wide labour force. The initiative of P21 is to unify business, government, and education leaders from the U.S. and overseas in an effort to propel education procedures to make ground-breaking instruction and education a possibility for everyone.

In simplistic terms, P21 is crucial to the education realm, because it’s what students need to succeed in today's globally and digitally interconnected world. Every student needs and is entitled to 21st century learning opportunities in order to prosper as tomorrow's leaders, employees, and residents. A weighty gap exists between the knowledge and skills most students learn in school and the knowledge and skills they need for achievement in their communities and workplaces. To effectively face demanding advanced coursework, career challenges and a globally competitive workforce, U.S. schools must support classroom atmospheres with real world situations.

Thank you!
